Juice Detox - Intro

Hi lovelies
Happy Saturday! What are you up to this weekend?

I am.. Juice detoxing! I've been looking in to it for a while and then Emma did get 7 day detox and I decided to bite the bullet so I'm following Jason Vale's "Keeping it Simple" 3 day juice detox!
I'm pretty excited right now, honestly!  I bought all my produce on Thursday (not my cheapest shopping trip!) and I've got my app ready to go!

Why am I doing it? 

Those who regularly read my blog know that since the start of the year I've gained some weight and gone up a dress size. Whilst I'm still a British size 10 I've been unhappy with my body for some time. I've been trying to eat healthier but I'm hoping that the detox will kick start some weight loss it'll also, I hope kick start better habits and also make me feel healthier. I've struggled recently with reoccurring stomach problems and I think that does boil down to what I'm eating. I will be weighing myself this morning and Tuesday to see if there are any changes but it's more about being happier with how I look and feel. 
Apparently the amount of fruit and veg that will be consumed over the three days is more than most people in Britain consume over a month- which I totally get. I definitely don't get my 5 a day (or whatever it is you're told to get now) and I definitely want to improve upon that!
I decided to only do 3 days instead of the 5 or 7 day option as a taster to see how manageable it is and what effects it has. Also so it doesn't interfere too much with work!

What are the rules?

Drink juice!
I'm following the recipes from the 3 day detox app which is 4-5 juices/smoothies over a day.
Drink water! As much as you think you need.
Start the day with hot water and lemon. I think I'll struggle most without a cuppa to start my days! 
Drink herbal/fruit teas not quite a mug of English breakfast but it's something.
No solids- unless you get really hungry then you're allowed some fruit.
No TV- this isn't set in stone but the detox is meant to clear the mind too. I'm going to try to stick to this and read lots instead! I may steer clear of Facebook too.
Exercise - what is suggested is an exercise sandwich two sets of 30 mins of exercise. This obviously aids the detox/weight loss!

And of course.. Blog throughout! 

Ok I made that rule up!! But I will be keeping you all updated with my progress via the blogosphere so please check back and wish my luck!!
