Blog Chat Tuesday- Me, Myself and Ines.

It's baccccckkkk! I'm so excited for the first Blog Chat Tuesday of 2015. This one is especially exciting because the beautiful Ines emailed me to be involved which felt incredibly humbling. So without further ado, let's chat:

1. Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

My name is Ines and I grew up in the suburbs just a few miles north of Boston, MA. Both my mom and dad are originally from Portugal so I had the pleasure of visiting every summer while growing up.

I'm a 23 year old college student in her last semester of undergrad, so I guess you can say I have a lot on my plate. I'm studying Early Childhood Education with a double major in mathematics, so right now I am in a 1st grade classroom M-F interning. Not to mention I have a job M-F too, and sometimes have to rush over to campus for class. Did I mention I have a full plate?

When I'm not working with children, at my job or in class, I'm dancing for a professional dance team. I've danced since I was 4 and don't know what I would do without it! I've met some of my best friends because of dance and I don't know what I would do without them either!

This past summer 2014, I didn't work so I had a lot of free time on my hands. Too much actually, to the point that I was going crazy. So, I started my blog, Me, Myself and Ines. It's a lifestyle blog so I get to talk about everything. I'm really enjoying it so far.

2. Can you tell me a little about your blog? (i.e. whats it about, how did it get started etc?)
Me, Myself and Ines is a lifestyle blog. I post about my relationship, nail polish favorites, make-up go to looks and recipes. Other things I've talked about include the vacations I've gone on and some of my favorite dates. It's only about 6 months old so there's still a lot of ground I'd like to cover. It has a little of everything.
3. What's your favourite thing about blogging?
Blogging is my chance to document my life, memories and milestones. I love reading about what other people have going on in their lives. I love seeing what they're up to and how fun and enjoyable it looks. It gives me ideas of what I want to do! I love that aspect of blogging. I'm hoping to inspire some people out there too! Connecting with others who have the same interests as me is the icing on the cake!

4. What's your least favourite thing?

My least favorite thing is definitely the time it takes to properly put my words together to post a great blog. I mentioned how busy I am this semester and sadly the whole month of October I had to put blogging on the back burner. Not only did I not have time to blog, I also didn't have the energy. I wanted to blog, but after running around all day from interning to working to class, by the time I got home at 7 pm, all I wanted to do was shower, eat and sleep!

5. If you could write any other type of blog what would it be?

A makeup blog! I absolutely love makeup. I own so much of it and I wish I knew enough about proper makeup application to give advice only on make up. I do write a blog post here and there about makeup, but I wish I was skilled anough to only focus my blog on it.

6. Do you have any blogs that you'd recommend?
Absolutely!

Someone who I found on youtube originally, but was so excited when I found her blogger page, is Tiffany D. She is a lifestyle blogger and I can't get enough of her videos and blog posts. Not to mention her current videos are about her pregnancy are the sweetest. I don't expect to have children any time soon, but watching how happy she is in her videos puts the biggest smile on my face.
You can find her here: Makeup by Tiffany D

7. What three things would you say to wannabe bloggers?

Be patient if you are looking to connect with readers. You aren't the only one in the world with interests. Slowly people will find you and appreciate your blog for what it is.

Proof-read. Always! I am THE WORST with spelling and grammar. I have to re-read my posts over and over again before publishing. If there is an error, trust me, someone will see it AND point it out.

Go it for you. When I started my blog, it was for me. I wanted to document my adventures around the world. I wanted a place to save my recipes. I wanted a place to remember what nail colors I like best. I'm not trying to become famous, get views or anything else. I blog because I like to blog. That is what is most important!

8. Anything else you'd like to add.
