#BEDM- Nick and Hannah's Wedding

Hello Beauties
I am a day late, I'm sorry. But I have my reasons!
Yesterday me and Andy attended the wedding of my friend Nick and his wonderful (now) wife Hannah.
I've worked with Nick for the last year whilst I've been on placement and he's just the loveliest guy, so genuine and sweet and a great youth worker. I've met Hannah a couple of times including sampling signature cocktails for their wedding and she is also sweet, genuine and beautiful.

The couple that quiffs together, stays together.

Now, the brief for BEDM was Saturday Morning Routine, but I didn't think that telling you about my lie ins and watching Saturday Brunch would really be that interesting (if it is tell me and I'll write a post about that another time ;-)) also, I fancy myself as a bit of wedding blogger so I thought I'd write about their wedding instead.

Hannah and Nick got married at Northgate Church in Chester. Northgate has recently undergone a big refurbishment and it looked beautiful yesterday done up in their wedding colours of : green, gold and chocolate brown with trees all along the aisle. The groomsmen looked very dapper in brown tails with the most amazing boutonnière made by Hannah herself- they were deconstructed pocket watches, too cool!

I got a bit picky about my seat and insisted we sit by the aisle for the best few. We sat next to the lovely Jamie, Emilly (read her amazing blog here ) and their gorgeous son, Fred and discussed ethical fashion, blogs, uni work and weddings.

Hannah was just under 45 minutes late, but hey that's a brides prerogative hey? ;-) although Andy made me promise I'd never be that late when we get married!! When she did arrive she looked stunning. The most beautiful dress and several beautiful bridesmaids and flower girls in wonderful green dresses. Clearly Hannah just has beautiful friends because they all looked stunning.

The ceremony was beautiful and I will admit I teared up a bit during the vows- the obvious love and excitement that the couple share was so touching.

After a whole group photo we had prosecco and sweets (I somehow found the table with my favourite sweets!) and there was all sorts of little games- wedding bingo, wedding mad libs to keep us entertained until the cake was cut.

We left soon after, because we were starving and after a quick change (I loved my dress but one- it kept riding up and two... it wasn't really casual Saturday lunch attire) we took a trip in to town and had lunch at The Chef's Table which was lovely and I might write about that again soon- and then we had a nap back at the flat... which was well needed.

The reception was held at Abbey Wood in Delamere which is a stunning venue- I fell completely in love with it and vowed to come back for a stroll around the gardens another time, very pride and prejudice.
and then there was wine, jazz, cocktails, a trampoline, lawn games and dancing. It was wonderful.

Thank you to Hannah and Nick for letting us share in your special day- I pray for many many years of love and happiness together.

Until tomorrow (well actually I need to post today's post)

p.s. One of my favourite bits of the wedding was all the little details, the beautiful typography and fun additions. Check out the order of service. Amazing. Hannah should do this for a job.
