Another beauty bargain today! I signed up to Sun + in February in order to get TWO £10 off at Superdrug vouchers.
My Marc Jacobs perfume is coming to an end (a competition prize..) and so I'm well overdue some new perfume. Anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE Beyonce fan!
Having already tried her Heat perfume a few years ago (and I probably have it knocking around somewhere) I thought I'd give Heat Rush a try.. even better.. Superdrug had it for £20!!
Unfortunately I couldn't use both vouchers at the same time but still £10 for 100 ml isn't too shabby (That's a quarter of the RRP)!
It smells wonderful! I said in the shop it smells like.. summer! (and it was a dreary day in Liverpool so sometimes you need to smell like summer!)
The Perfume Shop describe it as:
"shines, sparkles and excites the moment it touches the skin. Surrounded by a luminous fragrant aura, the woman who wears it feels instantly effervescent and alive. Sensual and bright, the scent lights up a room just as Beyonce captivates with her presence"
With Heart notes of: yellow tiger orchid, mango blossom and orange hibiscus
top notes : passion fruit, blood orange and brazillian cherry
and base notes: teakwood, honey amber and musk accord!
Now, I've not got much of a nose for this kind of thing so all I will say is it smells citrussy and summery and yummy! Also, it LASTS! I find perfume wears off quite easily... that might be my skin. But it clings to your clothes and... I've been wearing it for 5 hours so far and I can still smell it!
As for captivating a room like Beyonce, welllll... no perfume is THAT good, but Andy likes the smell! Does that count??
The only thing I would say is whilst it's a beautiful bottle, like Heat before, it's SUCH an awkward shape! It looks great on my dressing table but you definitely need two hands to apply it and it takes a certain level of dexterity!
Also, it sprays quite liberally so despite not using it every day for the last week and a half I already feel like I've used quite a lot (but that might be me being picky and wanting my moneys worth!)
But it's definitely worth the fiddliness for the yummy smell! It's currently £20 in Superdrug (other proprietors are available!) so maybe give it a go?
Until next time
*Wafts off in a cloud of orchid and orange!*
What's your favourite perfume?
What shall I get with my other voucher?
