Blog chat Tuesday- Pauper to Princess

Today I'm talking with my beautiful friend, Louise. Blogger at pauper into princess, fashionista and founder of Find Me. Here what she had to say:

1. Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

I'm 24, live in Dorset, and run a fashion startup. My company, Find Me, helps charity shops target young people and we're currently running popup shops on campuses and high streets around the country.

2. Can you tell me a little bit about your blog? (i.e. whats it about, how did it get started etc?)

It's a fashion blog where everything featured costs under £5. I do beauty reviews, DIYs, and a lot of outfit posts. If you ever wished you could find more charity shop gems, are a self confessed thrifting addict, or simply want to see how to follow trends on a budget then Pauper to Princess is for you!
I started it when I was living in Boston as all my friends had blogs, mostly lifestyle blogs, and I wanted to find a niche that people rarely write about. I always surprise people with how cheap my outfits are, and America was especially epic for thrifting.... so I decided I wanted to show others how to shop ethically too.

3. What's your favourite thing about blogging?

I love hearing from readers that it's inspired them to go into their local charity shops. I often feature readers' outfits and I adore seeing the fabulous things they've found.

4. What's your least favourite thing?

It's surprisingly time consuming, and I always feel really guilty if I let it slip and miss a whole week. I also struggle getting decent photos with this terrible British weather!!

5. If you could write any other type of blog what would it be?

A music blog - I love discovering new bands and seeing them slowly become famous. It's so exciting when you first hear them on primetime radio or MTV. Or, a travel blog as I'm always dashing off to random countries (as cheaply as possible of course!) and picking up bargain clothes and accessories. Perhaps a travel fashion thrifting blog.... quite a niche!

6. Do you have any blogs that you'd recommend?

Oh heaps - I read lots of thrifting blogs and also some of the more mainstream fashion blogs. People making a living out of blogging still blows my mind.

FleurdeForce (beauty vlogger), a pair and a spare (DIY), Goodwillista (thrifting), London's Closet (fashion), miss budget beauty (lifestyle and beauty thrifting), Not Dressed as Lamb (fashion), Spoolish (thrifting) - just to name a few....

7. What three things would you say to wannabe bloggers?

* Give it a go! You can start off small and you never know what might come of it.

* Make sure you interact with as many other bloggers as you can - commenting, following, guest posts, etc.

* Brush up your photo editing skills - they can make or break your blog.

8. Anything else you'd like to add.

Thanks for reading! Please do check out my blog, and send me in your favourite bargain thrifted outfit photos. xoxo

Thank you to Louise. This week I'll  also be blogging about my Charity shop spree with Louise.

Until then

L x
